Playita Ventures LLC ("Playita Ventures," "we," "us," or "our") built Gallery Goat (the "App") to be private by design. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. The short version: the App does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data — everything happens on your device.
The App Runs Entirely On Your Device
Gallery Goat has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no servers of its own. It makes no network requests to us or to any third party, and we operate no backend that receives your information — because none is ever sent.
Photo Library Access
To do its job, the App asks for permission to access the photos and videos in your device's photo library. This access is used only on your device, to:
- Show you your photos and videos one at a time for review;
- Play a video while you review it;
- Mark items you choose and — only after you confirm through Apple's standard system deletion prompt — delete them from your library.
Your photos and videos are never uploaded, copied off your device, or sent to us or anyone else. If your photos are stored in Apple iCloud (for example, with "Optimize iPhone Storage" enabled), the App may ask iOS to load your own images from your own iCloud account so they can be displayed; this is handled entirely by Apple, and nothing is transmitted to us.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, rent, or share:
- Your photos, videos, or any information about them;
- Photo identifiers, metadata, or your review history;
- Your name, email address, contacts, location, or device identifiers;
- Analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or advertising data.
The App contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
Data Stored On Your Device
Your preferences and progress (such as which photos you have already reviewed and your all-time stats) are stored only on your device, in the App's private storage. This information never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the App.
Your Choices and Control
Because the App works only on your device, you stay in full control of your information:
- Data retention. We retain nothing, because nothing is ever sent to us. The only data that exists — your in-App preferences and review progress — is stored on your device and retained only for as long as the App is installed.
- Manage or revoke photo access at any time. You can grant, limit ("Selected Photos"), or fully revoke the App's access to your photo library whenever you like in the iOS Settings app, under Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos, or Settings → Gallery Goat → Photos. Revoking access takes effect immediately; the App simply loses the ability to see your photos.
- Deleting your data. All information the App stores lives only on your device, and it is permanently and immediately removed when you delete the App. We do not hold any of your data on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete and no request you need to make.
- Requests. If you would like to exercise any privacy right or have any question about your data, contact us at hello@playitaventures.com and we will respond.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
